THE UNIVERSITY OF
DODOMA
Complementary
Training for
Undergraduate
Students
INVITATION FOR REGISTRATION
Background
The
University of Dodoma (UDOM) in collaboration with the Education Committee of
the Egyptian African Company and the Egyptian – East African Business Council
have the desire to implement a Complementary Training Programme to
undergraduate students commencing October 2012. The Programme aims at enhancing
soft skills that will be required at the workplace. Generally, the skills are
not directly taught in the academic curriculum. Moreover, due to students’
limited budgets, students cannot afford to attend such programmes in
specialised institutions.
The
overall objective is to prepare our graduates for the job market both locally
and internationally. Successful implementation will enable both local and
foreign business companies to employ our local talents instead of recruiting
from foreign labour markets.
Nature of
Programmes
Focus
will be on various skills building
themes, including: Communication skills; Writing proposals and reports;
Business ethics; Business etiquette; Mastering the interview; Public speaking;
